Sometimes its good to go with your hunch, but sometime your hunch is wrong.

The work we are doing here will not be affected by Capex reductions. The systems we are installing are replacing ones that have not worked successfully and/or are in remote areas where maintenance is performed by helicopter fly ins. The cost saving justification is significant. Our customer has advised that they will be doing another significant number of systems this year.

If we continue to perform, I believe it will come our way. Other gas producers are watching these systems closely, so I have no concern about meeting sales objectives. We are also bidding gas projects in Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.

I am still working on the Business Plan. It will not be for "public consumption" per se, but I will send it to shareholders. I will e-mail a copy to you "in confidence".

I'm not sure that the market is trying to say anything. I suspect that there are other forces at work. I have been approached by a potential suitor who has inquired whether a control block might be obtainable. Perhaps this has something to do with it.

Regards,

John

Is it that important that John disclose the client????? really the goal is to demonstrate that uic has the solution at significant discount to the status quo....the interesting thing is the market action or non action as one may see it.I've been suggesting that the stock is being sold down to get the maximum discount re the 10 day moving average fix for the current financing, the scary thing is why can't the market maker get a bit of volume going, now one might conjecture that none of the insiders want to sell much under 40. I'm leaving my bid in and may stake some more grandfather bids.
Living here in vanc I have done some serious nosing around, this uic remains an intriguing tableau like some beaver thrashing around in the vse cesspool.....lets hope it morphs into a goose in lost lagoon with a big nest of golden eggs..... }:+} this is my first emoton...kewl

Richard: I can now confirm that your hunch was right. I spoke with Renaissance this afternoon and they gave me the green light to identify them.

The reason for their reluctance was that they had other SCADA vendors in before us (two of the majors) that was unsuccessful with their systems and they did not want the embarrassment for either of us if we too failed. I am pleased to say that we were able to install and commission our system in 3 days flat, including deciphering the proprietary protocol of a third party equipment provider. That demonstrates the power of our hardware and software (built-in Protocol Analyser).

Tuesday one of our field technicians leaves to begin installing the second system for Renaissance. This one is for their pipeline booster stations. The first was wellhead monitoring and control.

With these installed, we will have covered the complete gas cycle:

Collection.... wellhead monitoring and control;
Transmission.. Pipeline monitoring and control
(we have one with InterProvincial Pipelines as well)
Distribution.. Metrogas S.A. in Santiago, Chile

So the cat is out of the bag. I hope to have another announcement in this sector in the near future as well.

Have a nice weekend.

Regards,

John

Richard: I meant to ask you how you came to guess REL as the customer. With all the oil patch activity, and I thought we were quite tight lipped about it, your guess came a quite a surprise.
