Thanks Mohan. Interesting. If it was such a "sure thing" as the write-up suggests, then you'd have thought DEC shareholders would have held out for more money and the investment bankers working for Digital should be shot. It does look like a great deal for Compaq, but my point was that digesting a company and culture is difficult and the prescident is there for it not being done well. It seems the the CEO of Compaq is very aggressive and "german" which might put off alot of otherwise loyal DEC employees. Two or three yrs from now, the move may look brilliant. suite101.com regards Kirk out
