What evidence is there that Trump was a Russian asset?

PEOPLE! Listen up!

There is a massive difference between being a Russian agent and being a Russian asset.

The latter does NOT require the asset to comprehend that he is being used by Moscow. In fact, what’s usually called a “Useful Idiot” is one of the more common ways a smart spy service gets a dumb person to further their agenda.

At this point there should be absolutely no debate — none — that trump was a Russian asset.

We can argue about whether he was enthralled with Putin, or wanted to achieve his dream of building Trump Tower Moscow, or was worried about the pee-pee tape, or wanted Putin’s money (he thinks Vladimir is the richest man in the world, with over $1 trillion in personal wealth), or needs Russian money laundering in order to sell units in his properties. That’s an interesting topic for a dinner party, but irrelevant to the question at hand.

Putin had a couple of items on his Honey Do list, and trump did all of them. Undermined NATO. Softened sanctions, and removed them from Deripaska (who was closely involved with Manafort). Promoted Brexit to weaken the EU. Exited Syria, handing over our bases to the Russians without a shot being fired. Demanded Russia be allowed to return to the G-8, despite the annexation of Crimea. And, most importantly, made American democracy look like a bad joke that should never be imported to Putin’s Russia.

trump will claim that “No one has been tougher on Russia than me,” but it’s a lie. His administration did indeed put some tough measures in place. trump simply refused to execute the first set of sanctions, and softened all that followed. And he was so desperate to get Putin back into the G-8 that Angela Merkel said she would not attend if Vlad was even invited as an observer.

The bottom line is, it’s hard to think of anything trump didn’t do that Putin would have wanted. And that is the very definition of a Russian asset.
