Texans Now Rate Border Security Ahead of COVID-19 A new University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll finds that immigration and border security topped the legislative priorities list for 36% of voters, COVID-19, the energy system/grid, and the economy/jobs, together were the top priorities of 32%. In February, COVID-19 was the top concern, with immigration and border security in second place. This suggests Democratic momentum in the Sun Belt may be stalled if the Biden administration doesn’t find answers on the border.

On the one hand, I'm disgusted by the ignorant pukes who won't get vaccinated. What would have happened to the "greatest" generation if they'd said, "Oh no. None of that polio vaccine for me! I want the freedumb to get it." We would still have god damned polio. So what a bitch we have such putrid morons in this country. On the other hand, I love masks- and I was envisaging an uphill battle to keep wearing one if we didn't "need" to- people can be rather judgy about that. Remember the comments before COVID about Asians who wore masks? But now the legions of morons on the right have given me the perfect excuse to continue my masked ways. So that's nice. On balance, though, I'd rather live in a country with fewer complete and total moronic idiots. Maybe Covid and its variants will kill off the stupid- but that will be messy.
