I investigated this company for a few weeks and then went long last week. If they stay the course, then the stock price will follow. Apparently for now, the risk factor is too high compared to the greed factor for many investors (who may know better than I...).

Biggest risk is the NFS ventures -- some biggie might join the fray -- and the data warehousing. Two weeks ago I had a Sun Micro rep plus system engineer at my business and they mentioned (because it was a related topic) that Sun was shipping 4 terabytes a day in data warehouse storage, and also they mentioned that Sun is going after that market agressively. I suspect the street is aware of this, too.

On the plus side for HUMCF is a great balance sheet and top notch products.

Martin, I don't know if you have ever seen the NASDAQ volume report for HUMCF. It can be viewed on the following web site:

www.nasdaqtrader.com/dynamic/tdhome.stm

The report gives the volume leaders for each month. Jan 98 should be out soon. Noticeably absent in recent months has been Alex Brown. Montgomery Securities has reduced their volume substantially. In the good old days (pre Andyne) these two firms accounted for 30-40 % of the volume per month. Until these two investors jump back in I doubt if we will see much upside on the stock. Of course, there may be new firms that are starting to nibble, and maybe they will show up on the January report. It would be interesting to see a similar report for the TSE if one exists.

Bill.
