If the Democrats could get one chamber of the state legislature, that would give them the power they need to change things.

In the 70's we Democrats only had the house, but were able to leverage that power to get many things we wanted like the "permanent fund".

Living here now, it seems to me like the (R)'s will do whatever voter suppression or outright cheating that needs to be done to retain power. They're already a bunch of crooks, but Trump has enabled them further.
