That's funny practising .. I know far superior to my capabilities.. but again I start to order say some say dimsum at food market for takeaway in Canto.. Blank stare,.. Oh must be Mandarin speaker LOL.. switch.. OK on those basic tasks I can switch easily (buying food eg) but I still have teeny vocab in both .. If I could speak Canto or Mandarin like I can French I would be very very happy :0) My brain does not get how these simple differences are not easy for native speakers of either.. Seems to more a Mandarin speaker thing though ..Chongqing kid went to school with only understood Nay Ho Mah in Canto.. Then again she said her language was Chongqing wah.. not Mandarin .. I guess differences are hard to eradicate across such a large population.. agree on crypto :)
