It appears obviously wrong to grant the IRS any ability to engage in "fishing expeditions" in violation of others rights... with zero probable cause.

Long past time to abolish the IRS... which is far more destructive of the American economy than almost any other institution... An almost perfect example of how NOT to implement taxation.

The only four use cases for crypto that I can see are tax evasion, gambling, speculating without being hampered by securities law, and general criminal activity ( money laundering, drug trade, weapons trade, human trafficking, etc). If I am close to being correct, crypto is a target rich environment for prosecutors.

Should be entertaining to see how this plays out.
