There's been a massive migration from the Southern Hemisphere to the Northern for a very long time. I've written about it since I've been on SI. It began when the US collapsed the global economy in 2007 and caused every country on the planet to go deep into debt, debt they can't pay back. This also made it very easy for tyrants to get elected which is what happened after the Great Depression. Hitler used economic dissatisfaction to kill Jews (he blamed them). Then, we had more problems created by global warming and then of course Covid. People want to live. I know it's a strange concept for our republican friends, but it's built into our DNA.
