Re: "Any good theory out there?". From a TA point of view, look at the chart of KLIC and CYMI together. Now look 2 days back on KLIC and you'll see that it broke up through the overhead resistance at $22 and then in 2 days it went up to 24 3/8. CYMI just closed above that same overhead resistance and I would tend to believe that it may follow the pattern of KLIC (given a positive tech sector as well). Just my thoughts.

Hi Maxwell:

With DPMI up 6+ today, ASMLF continuing up, and ETEC up in spite of an expected earnings shortfall due to a missed delivery date, and this is to name just a few, I'd venture to say that some big institutional money is coming into this sector about now. It is, after all, that time of year when all the deferred comp money has to find a home. I just hope that the supply of shares dries up (as the chart suggests will happen soon). When the float is in hands of only those thinking in terms of a return to the old multiples over the long term, if the shorts are not already covered, this issue will run 4 to 6 points per day as they freak out, realizing he's trying to cover in a market in which the shares are in strong hands and for those few that remain, there is competition with the fund managers. If this happens, the stock will act like a big dog that finally has gotten off its chain, bounding off at full speed, ignoring all pleas to return. And the old guys on CNBC will shake their heads and pontificate on how volatile the issue is and that that's why they like utility companies and so forth and so on.

But, hey, a dog like that's a beautiful thing to watch, you know.

Regards,

John

If you were Cymer, would you be buying-back the stock now or
wait until its five or ten points higher?

Also I believe more and more investors and analysts are taking
a long-term view of this outstanding company and the DUV
technology in general.

Best of luck to all, Allan
