Thanks, needed that to convince my son, who does his best to stay neutral w/r to the kind of US News he/we receive via the media here in Europe ... :) Now he like his brother was lucky enough to belong to the ones with 'natural gifts and skills' in (German) school in spite of having 2 foreign parents. Back then - as suggested by the teachers - they were happy to help their not so gifted class friends and were happy to do so to get them up to speed as well. Only the leftists believe same can be only achieved by dragging down the top to the lower levels - with the help of the (not so gifted?) teachers.
