U.S. Web usage grows 24%
According to a study of the Web universe released Feb. 2 by Web measurement company RelevantKnowledge, the number of U.S. Web users grew 24% between August and January. RelevantKnowledge now projects approximately 55.4 million people age 12 or older have accessed the Web in the last month from home, work or college, up from 44.7 million who had accessed the Web during the last three months, at the time the last study was completed in August. In other findings, males continue to dominate the Web, making up 57 percent of users, and business usage has continued to rise with 36 percent of Web users accessing the Web from the workplace.
