Both South Korea and Taiwan did the same thing with the same success. And New Zealand. The smart countries. China has far more people and they had it first so they had nothing to work off, but they started shutting down in Jan and started opening again in mid-March. There were small outbreaks here and there, but they closed things down in those areas and the issue was fixed. Trump declared an emergency in March of last year and we're still dealing with it.
