I believe long term LGND will do very well, but short term I don't really see potential for more than a few points unless market sentiment changes considerably. Hope I'm wrong.

Henry--The recent merger news of the big pharmas, the exposure biotech is getting in print and on the business channels bodes well for the entire sector. I was fascinated to note that even my weekly Kiplinger Washington Newsletter which arrived yesterday, devoted more than 25% of its content to the burgeoning biotech industry. I am quite hopeful that 1998 will be a good year for LGND and numerous biotech companies as this sector matures. Best wishes. Karl
