Since when do we look at death rates in terms of Millions? Since we decided to panic about something that is so fkin small that whole numbers do not appear in any smaller cohort groups.

Then again it is obvious that many people, including some on this thread, do not understand percentages very well.

The chart shows that the old maxim "If one can not make ones point using the standard measures of cfr or GMR, then make up some new measure that makes things appear REALLY big. Or use gross numbers without referance to the population. If anyone points it out.....scream that they don't care about all these people dying. ie...shift the argument, put the blame on those seeking the truth, and claim that emotional bed-wetting is so much more caring than actually trying to figure out what is going wrong. After all its not about the deaths in India. It is about making sure one can sit at home and watch cable and not admit how worthless one actually is. Self righteous outrage is the key to control.
