If SFAM doesn't move with the rest of the sector I'm going to have to
find a new rising star.

More people thinking like that and SFAM will become
a real bargain ;)

Re: buyout, will someone please explain the rationale behind
a buyout finance-wise, and how much it would likely fetch?
Or point me to a post that details this info. I admit I have
little but superficial knowledge about the semis/equips industries.

Go ahead and find the beautiful one you like. Last week, when DPMI ia at $26 to 26.25 for about three days, you may say the same thing like now. Look what happen today, it is $36.5 now. It seems to me someone (big one) just wants to sell all their holding @$24(like DPMI @$26). Once this hangover is done, watch out. Be a little more patience, would you? Their product is well accepted in Taiwan and the management always deliver.
