One possibility is that you already got COVID-19 but displayed no symptoms ... maybe ...

My wife and I had Moderna. Neither of us had any side effect with the first injection. She didn’t on the second, either, but I had some pain at the injection site and lots of inflammation for about three or four days. Was pretty sore. It was at a drive thru place, and the second one had mostly firefighters instead of nurses.

Not that that could have had anything to do with it.
