I don't know how it was like in recent months but the Computer City in Costa Mesa (near South Coast Plaza) had a whole side of the upper floor dedicated to Macs.

The difference between Computer City and Circuit City is that people actually go to Computer City to buy computers. Personally I don't know who would buy a Mac at Circuit City but Computer City is a different story. They sell computer accessories and peripherals..and that attract a lot of customers. So Apple probably sells 5-10 times more Macs/store from Computer City than Circuit City.
