The number to look for is diluted. IBM sold off because diluted earnings missed estimates. Starting in January diluted earnings became the true way to measure earnings.

Briefing.com claims "Estimates/dates are provided by Zacks. All
numbers are diluted. " Therefore the Zacks estimate of .42
is diluted earnings.
