One of the issue w/ the KMT was that most of its members were propertied class, and self interested

The communists destroyed the propertied class for expediency, and went for a zero-state reset

I do not know how it could otherwise have worked

Revolutions have own dynamics

As the have / have-nots bifurcate further, there would be much more revolutions, a guess, all around the world

The planet is coming to a fork soon, and longer delayed worse the details, I fear.

Problem with KMT is that they had a Warlord mentality ... That is what sunk them... not spies.. China had it up to ever with Warlords and their complicity with the West (for one) for profit...alternative certainly did not turn out better in short to medium term...
