While I wouldn't say it was "cool", it doesn't sound like a really serious offense. I can see someone in unusal circumstances getting 30 days in jail or something for it.

The bottom line is essentially everything alleged is petty stuff. A very small number participated, in spite of The Big Lie that Jan 6 was some monumental event. It was a media-created event, a mostly peaceful protest where a couple of people got out of hand.

Nancy Pelosi blatantly LIED about injuries and deaths that didn't occur, strangely gave Sicknick (I'm sure, a fine man) this funeral in the Capitol when he apparently had no work-related cause of death -- essentially using Sicknick's casket as a prop, has ordered the FBI to throw the book at everyone involved and to sandbag as much as possible the number of arrests to make it look good.

At the end of the day, no one was seriously injured except for Ashli Babbitt who was murdered by cops.
