Degress of what ? I'm noting that you are advocating "socialism" as the solution to all the problems created by... socialism. You don't get to the opposite outcome as a thing requires... by embracing that thing ? Go long dollars... to make a killing in gold ? Short the market... to profit from the big bull run ? Socialism always fails... for the same reasons... in the same ways... everywhere it is tried... There's a reason for that... A big part of which... is people believing it can deliver the opposite of what it must... China... a "success story" ? No. China failed... admitted it... and backed away from socialisms worst ideas... enjoying the accumulated benefit, for now, of havimg had LESS of it... for the last 45 years... than in the thirty years before that ? Now, however, under Xi... China has reversed course, again... under leadership that thinks as you do... that choices and consequences can be divorced... if only you wish hard enough... Of course, it is also true that ideology does not occur in a vacuum... but within a cultural context... that can amplify or mitigate the functions ideology would otherwise impose... without its influence being countered by people's cultural understanding undermining the faith, belef, and trust in the ideology.. However, one cannot believe a thing in error... and have the belief trump the error in impact... Time has a way of dismissing those who fail to understand... that corrosives corrode... whether in chemistry or in the adoption of corrosive ideas... by those hoping they will deliver the opposite of what they must.
