Socialism is a dead end...

It is as much of a dead end here.... as it is in Canada, or anywhere else...

The problem in the U.S., is WAY too much socialism...

The rest... is niggling over the details of how and why socialism fails... when, too, of course...

The trends are long term...

In the U.S., the impact of too much socialism is mostly tied to the Income Tax... and the Federal Reserve Act... both of which (along with related noise and dysfunction entrained in enabling) functions as a brake on U.S. economic activitiy...

It functions as less of brake than communism did in China... akin to setting the parking brake...

But, as China shows... starting from zero, or near zero, mostly gives lots of upside...
