I find it hard to believe that we actually have concrete evidence of extraterrestrial life. If we did, the number of people involved in keeping it secret would be so large that a leak would have been inevitable. I do believe, however, that there are alternative life forms out there. The universe is simply too large. The people of Earth should not be in a hurry to make First Contact. We are obviously still in our infancy and have a tendency to not play well with others. Any alien species coming in contact with us would do well to just ignore us, or to be on the safe side, incinerate the planet. Just imagine the cultural shifts that would occur if we had First Contact. BTW, thank you for starting this board. I have often wondered why SI did not have a board devoted to UFOs and have been tempted to start one.
