Different variety I guess.. Why we always need the binomial name.. .. mine was no more than 5 in (OK insignificant flower spikes maybe 7/8) and YELLOW..and perfect ground cover LOL Lovely splash of summer long yellow..

You know my ex boss argued with me.. Those are evening primrose.. medium height sun lovers like giant buttercups.. I said NO they are Sundrops.. we were both right... real name Oenothera fruticosa .. Common names are problematic
