Just half of us COVID was a warning shot, a simple canary in the mine. Frankenviruses could kill all of us.
Humanized H5N1 mortality of 70% will still leave 4 billion (not everyone gets infected). But another 2 billion would starve. So there would still be 2 billion. After fighting that might go to 500 million or 1 billion.

That would seriously reduce CO2 output. So the survivors wouldn't have the annoying climate change hysteria. Roads would be clear. Fish prolific. Lots of houses to choose from. Hmmm.... maybe every cloud has a silver lining. A bit like African Americans are so lucky their ancestors were slaves. It wasn't good in the bad times but awesome now.

In 2018, the Federal Select Agent Program " received eight reports of loss and 193 reports of a release of a biological select agent or toxin."

Still sanguine about the labs? Try reading this 2014 paper -- " Laboratory Escapes and 'Self-fulfilling prophecy' Epidemics" -- by Martin Furmanski
Disturbing stuff. One can only wonder what would be more dangerous and reckless - to study those things, or NOT study them. Which is a rethorical question — of course they’ll continue. All over the world.
