This farce was all over a bug barely worse than the flu. If something with a fatality rate of H1 or Ebola gets loose the wheels are going to come off the bus and it will be anarchy. Exactly. Overall infection fatality comparable to seasonal flu. It was, fortunately, less dangerous than flu for the children and the young - but worse for the 70-75+ group. Mass psychosis aside, there was no reason for this entire heavy self inflicted trauma - psychological, economic, etc. And, yeah, if something more serious comes, this entire exercise will make it worse. Future Faucis will be flatly ignored. And the Gov? What are they going to do? Spread 20 trillion, thickly shmeared with assurances? We can’t even be sure we will get over this last round of helicopter money.
