I do not think that Rorze will be a direct competitor of Brooks in the vacuum robot market. At least not at this time. Rorze does make motors, speed and position controllers and wafer handling robots that they sell at the component level. This is currently a different area than Brooks competes in.

I do agree that the PRI/Equipe group is aiming squarely at taking market share from Brooks. PRI's current business has mainly been moving wafers from bay to bay and then intrabay. The addition of the Equipe product line allows PRI to take the material movement to the next step.....directly to the mouth of the process module inside of the process tool.

According to Edgar, Granahan Investment Management filed a 13G today indicating they currently do not own any shares.

I guess this removes some selling pressure from BRKS.

Does anyone know who Granahan is?

Ian.
