Patriot-

You should feel very well positioned with your calls. I have two-thirds of mine at 7/16 and the rest at 1/2. This is just the way I like to get them. Relatively cheap yet within only a point of the strike price. Once PAIR hits 20 they will really start to move. Because expiration is a good 2+ weeks away, this gives PAIR plenty of time to break through.

This environment is ideal for aggressive options strategies. Success rate can be amazingly high. My other call positions: INTC, LSI, PLAB, and CYMI absolutely killed today. Expect PLAB to blast to the moon tomorrow. I sold INTC and LSI despite bullishness.

Happy Investing! Go PAIR!!

Patriot & jason,
Help me out here. I'm starting to understand the option oppertunities better, I think.
When ya'll are talking Feb. 20 calls at this point. Ya'll are talkin' buyin' calls at 1/2 and 7/16(ie: 5 or 10 contracts). Which would cost about 250.00 on 5 contrasts at 1/2. Antisipating PAIR will increase in value to 20.00(+)/share or better, over the next several days prior to their expiration.
The calls increase in price and you sell them back at a premium to what you paid and keep the difference.
Worst case you lose your 250.00 if they expire?
If this is correct what are the chances that this oppertunity will still exist in the morning?
Thanks and best to ya'll,
Jay

First, does anyone think that PAIR will make any acquisitions this year? Is a bid for Netspeed out of the question?

Second, what was the 2.5 million dollar Settlement income related to unusual trading losses in 1996?

If you discount this one time income event from the 1996 earnings. We actually saw a 27% increase in quarter to quarter earnings (basic) instead of a 5 % decrease. Or, for you diluted fans, a 13% increase instead of flat earnings in quarter to quarter.
