BT will use equipment from Newbridge Networks.

The rollout will start with a "big bang" of 30 to 40 switches by mid-1998, according to Paul Excell,Cellstream's program director, before ramping up to a rate of three or four per week. BT said Monday it was also looking at integrating other existing commercial networks -- such as its Cisco-based platforms -- into CellStream.
