There is a difference between potency and actuality. A fetus is only human when the brain has been formed and it only becomes formed in the 7th month, according to science. To be sure, the fetus is potentially a human. But the same can be said of caterpillar becoming a butterfly. When a caterpillar dies, we don't say a butterfly dies.

Yes, the founding fathers set up the Constitution as a Republic. But that doesn't mean it has to remain that way. Each generation chooses what they want their Constitution to be.

As for gender, if someone dreams all day of becoming the opposite sex, there is nothing wrong in switching. I am not offended in the least.

Freedom of choice is what life is all about.
You choose who you are and what you want to be.

And one other thing. Capitalism is only good up to a point. It can get out of hand when the top 1% controls to much while the average American is suffering and going to bed hungry.

There are limits to everything.

Capitalism can become oppressive just like communism.

My feeling is that the founding fathers would have been appalled by present day capitalism in the USA.
