Nothing most of us here don't already believe, but a nice little rah-rah article on Gigabit & csco's chances from the San Fran Chron brought to my attention by the somewhat improved Yahoo thread. (improved no doubt by the SI thread folks).

sfgate.com

And an article on csco's prospects from TheStreet.com...not as good as some of the other stuff I've read there...let me know if you can't access & want to read it & I'll cut &paste the good bits...

later

P.S. How do you all like the new SI spell checking & grammar checking do dah? Pretty neat.

My guess is you will see a 1 time charge in the 1st Q. Since the acquisition was closed in 1st Q, they should take the charge then. However, from the 2nd Q on it should be accretive...

Remember though.....Was Xyplex making money? My guess would be no as revenues plummeted on a Y over Y basis (someone posted that)....

However, I believe that MRVC will integrate the company very well and will turn around the company in a very short period. They have proven to me that they are very good strategists and quite frugal in nature....Things I like in a company....

Anyone have thoughts about EPS this Q? I feel Europe will be strong but I am concerned with Asia (I know they are the low cost producer and sell really cheap)....

Still have a bad feeling about the dilution from this summer....Of course I feel very good long-term.....the summer gave us the $$$$$ to buy Xyplex!!!!!!!
