Perhaps useful to take the cup and handle chart of gold... to consider it not as a chart of the gold price... but as a chart of the policy intent to manipulate the gold price...

MOPE... QE to infinity... etc., all became policy in response to the events of 2008... as an effort to "Avoid Correction" at all costs... Correction would remove lies and liars from the market. The lack of correction has ensured policy is composed of lies enabled by uncorrected liars.

So, if you continue the chart pattern from before the change was implemented ? That's where the gold price "would be"... without the effort make in lying about its value... as a price suppression scheme to enable the transfer of that value from legitimate owners of it... to others at prices based in fraud.

Banking is based in fraud.... is the key takeaway...

Is it possible to end the fraud.... without ending the banks and the legacy systems of finance and economics ?

Gold holders... bet "maybe"...

Bitcoin holders... bet "no"...
