I dunno. If you are delusional because your brain isn't working right, that is one thing. When you are delusional because you have adopted a particular world view and then only consume information that affirms that world view, that is a very different thing. Now I realize that everyone is susceptible to confirmation bias. And the Internet makes it a lot easier than the days when you had to pass around wrinkled, mimeographed pages to dive really deep into the crazy. But... Me, I am very pattern sensitive. I take a lot of pains to doublecheck and verify that I am not seeing patterns in random data. Because that way lies only madness.
