To All,

Looks like there should be a bounce - the numbers look pretty good on a cursory read. Sad to say for one who typically roots for the underdog (Newbridge?) but Bigger does appear to be Better. Glad to be aboard the big ship rather than splashing in its wake!

Some numbers for the green eye-shade people:
On quarterly yr-to-yr comparison fixed costs are increasing at slower rate than sales:
Sales +26.6%
R&D (incl. purchased R&D) +13%
Mktg +26.0%
G&A + 10% (that's impressive!)

MARGIN 65.4% VS 65.3
Op Income 32.7% vs 30.7
Net income 22.7% vs 21.3

Following compares Balance sheet entries vs yr end (July/97)
A/R +7.3%
Inventory +5.2%
Don't know the Q4 sales amount but sales growth undoubtedly much greater.
(Seems to have addressed the "big" (sic) inventory problem of Q1.)

Maybe some resourceful soul will find a "problem" like he/she did last Q but I would be surprised.
