We won't have a democracy much longer if the GOP keeps goosestepping to their autocratic drums. Standing in the way of Biden succeeding just plays into GOP hands- and allows the GOP to claim "success" by stopping Biden's agenda to fix this sad shitshow of a country.

Not sure where that leaves you. I know it leaves me heading out to the EU.

That is fine, but what do you do when one side cheats

Some one posted a while back an article from the WP, ?, that pointed out in game theory when on side cheats the other side has to throw the rules out.

The Republicans are directly attacking our democracy and Manchin is helping them do that.

What would you do?

How would you deal with Manchin?

<,

I dont think Bernie has much support in West Virginia vs. Hillary or a Trumper. The bottom line is we dont elect these Congresspeople to a political party. Thats what the ass-licking goose-stepping Republicans like to do. We elect Senators to do what they believe represents their voters. Thus, the branches act as checks and branches to the Executive. AND we work with that reality in a democracy of unavoidable sometimes sucky deals.
