First let me start by saying that I've been lurking on this thread nearly since its inception, but have never felt compelled to post. But now this thing rears its head once again and I can't stand it:
you said
>>16 mb is a mugs game. 64 mb is the show and mu is nowhere.<<

I MUST ask how long have you been following MU? Do you realize "the wise" have said precisely the same thing about MU at each transition since the 256Kb days? Back in '95, there were ample opinions that Micron was toast because they weren't yet a large factor in the 16Mb game, and yet they actually became the world's dominant 16Mb producer. Now we see the 64Mb generation on the near horizon, and it's the same old bullshit again? Are you aware that Micron is shipping 64M SDRAMs to customers as we speak? Whatever happened to the smug "will not spend $7.50 to make $1.00" that was bandied about ad nauseum a few months back? It appears that they've managed to bring to market the right 64Mb part (read not-EDO) without spending the billion dollars that you said was necessary to do so (go read your old posts from the Sept-Nov time frame).
I apologize for the tone of this post...I don't ever like to "attack" anyone's position, but it's blatantly obvious that you're simply a "Micron hater", seemingly oblivious to any achievements they've ever accomplished.
In closing, I certainly feel Micron is in a dire position at the moment, and the stock is at a ridiculous valuaion level, but that just makes for some good trading volatility ahead. It's not an excuse to make derogatory statements about MU management nor personnel.

Sam

From the crybaby's own mouth during his testimony. Notice this part.

Edit: forget it, did not see your post until after I posted this (g)
