The profound weakness in the stock market is largely due to the upcoming, massive battle between Dems and Republicans over raising the deficit. I can step aside and be quite objective, but I can't have any respect for what the Republicans are doing. First of all, the so-called conservatives gave Trump carte blanche, two full years of unlimited deficit spending, no questions asked. What are they looking to accomplish by not voting to increase the deficit? It is not going to affect the social infrastructure plan spending. To me, it just looks like pure frustration over the liberal Dem agenda.
