exactly. they were ideas that had to come of age. they were a natural outcrop. even the wheel was a necessity. it was 'due' to be invented. it was natural. it didn't take great intellect to invent it. even calculus was born of necessity with both newton and another guy (can't remember his name right now), inventing it at roughly the same time.

we could have limped on with DC and without AC for many, many years. yet Tesla gave us AC well ahead where of anyone else appeared to be going at the time. he was a genius in the truest sense of the word. and then back stabbing edison had the gall to kick him in the teeth after Tesla had come through for him. Tesla was one of the greatest men who ever lived.
