Sonny, Re -- well, there are not that many big mergers in the cpt. industry that we can go by. Heres a few... ATT/NCR COMS/USRX Synoptics/Wellfleet Cisco/Stratcom Univac/Burroughs/Sperry All relative failures.. Once again large scale mergers between 2 companies of relatively same size (CPQ 26bil/28000 emp, DEC 13bil/54000 emp). A big compay aqquiring a smaller company on the other hand has in many cases worked well. Of course you trust CPQ management to pull it off (this one is different) Stockman P.S There is no Troika (CPQ has only 16% of the pc market).
