Below is the relevant portion of the press release you mentioned:

"Specifically designed and engineered for aviation use, the AI-CD is a certified (PMA and STC), full-featured CD/FM/AM entertainment system modified for Trimble's TrimLine, the standard avionics for Cirrus' SR-20. The AI-CD is standard panel mount aviation width operating on 12-33 volts DC."

The Cirrus SR-20 is a 4 seat private plane. I would expect that the AI-CD would go into small GA and maybe up to corporate jets as a source of basic entertainment to passengers (they get bored too on long flights after all!)
