I have read the IRS quit going after the super rich as they have too many lawyers to compete.

They just stopped one huge IRS law suit after 10 years because of that.

They know about far more than 1099's, K1's, brokerage accounts, trading history, bank accounts, loans, etc. Incompetence does not connote impossibility - just the unwillingness to go after big supporters (of both parties).

There are plenty of high end analysis tools we have already paid for - it is criminal that the IRS is not using them when individuals in multi-million street addresses owned by shell corporations in the Caymans are not taxed at all.
