Not sure it's ready for prime time ... then again possibly in winter up here all cars especially autonomous will just stay parked :)

Montreal

Minneapolis

Toronto is relatively easy peasy .. 'cept the drivers suck LOL should stay home.. even rain causes havoc.. at least for good snow drivers which certainly excludes the VAST majority of native born Toronto drivers :)

I am guessing New York City same as Toronto.. Upstate driving is much like Quebec.. I am personally very familiar with it :)

I have my pre-order in and I've invested in the last two rounds of financing.

Should be fine in winters with AWD and snow tires.

Here's a copy of my last post on the topic discussing range iin winter driving.

As of now the largest battery pack will give you 1000 miles or 1600 km
But we're not supposed to use the full capacity.
20% to 80 % is best for battery life.

60% battery usage on 1600 k = 960 kms
And yes, cold weather will further reduce the distance
20%?
That's 768 km on a charge in winter.
Where I live we get a lot of sun. Toronto area.

For rural drivers it's not going to work. For urban it's a great option. According to my driving habits I'll rarely need to plug it in to travel.

There is a geographic solar calculator on their website: aptera.us

This will show you if your daily driving and location are compatible with a “Never Charge” lifestyle or if you will have to charge a few times a year.
