David I arrived in NYC at the invitation of the US Signal Corps. Fort Monmouth NJ, in Jan. 1985 to work on project of the future combat helmet on which I worked on when I was in TLV., part of SINCGARS project.
They sent me to several subcontractors to implement some of my patents related to EMP at the time - I slowly climbed the ladder by being referred to new companies that where in need of reorganization until I reach to be recommended to individuals with net worth in the 1990 in excess of $10 billions (Carl Icahn was one)

In an interview of the owner of Jupiter Industries, Jerry Wexler from Chicago, at his NYC hotel room with plenty of people running around taking notes he asked me to sit near him, and asked me what I do for a living, and after telling that I help companies to reorganize, he asked a simple question;

"Tell me, who likes you in those companies and who dislike you?"

My answer was that; "the floor workers in each company loved my presence and procedures/processes I introduced, the owner/controlling shareholders liked me too, but middle management wants me out."

His answer was - "you are my man find a company we can reorganize and has potential to profitably, but worth at least $50 millions".

Unfortunate he got sick shortly thereafter, and passed away within 14 months, therefore could not pursue the takeover of ADP at the time,(their organization and computerized network was still 1970) with Carl Icahn Enterprises. (still have the various letter to TRW, Citibank, Colgate Palmolive for some of their subsidiaries etc.)

I was the only one outsider, that he took my calls when hospitalized and was invited to the more private gathering of the close family and friends in Chicago, The even arranged a lady (one of the secretaries) to be my companion and introduce me at the event, as I was basically a stranger to most people.

At this gathering, his widow approached me and thanked me for being unabated by his illness calling him at the hospital with ideas/proposals solution or new strategies as if nothing happened. She told me his eyes where lighting up and he smiled as my calls made him forget the cancer and chemotherapy.

I hope I answered your post
