IDM will have a major ownership of the consortium which recently completed negotiations on an agreement aimed at setting the terms of privatization and the transition to ownership, which is expected to begin in the second quarter of 1998. The German project is expected to generate significant revenues and profits beginning in 1998. --IDM has made substantial progress with financing plans related to its electric-power-generation project in El Salvador. Project financing is anticipated to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 1998. Engineering development and design work is substantially completed and plant construction is scheduled to begin immediately following financial closure. Plant completion is expected within 10-12 months.
