Hmmm. There you are... working for the CIA... hanging out at some random Tallahassee "safe" house in your usual suit and tie... while monitoring the kids being kept in cages in the basement, dirty, unfed... kept there to be used for whatever nefarious things the CIA might come up with to use them for... You look over at your partner, also wearing suit and tie... and say "Hey, I'm bored... you wanna take the kids out of the cages, and take them down to the park, today" ? "Sure" he says... so there you are, lounging around at a picnic table in the park... while the kids gnaw on the ankles of passers by... Yeah, Seems to make perfect sense... ??? I don't for a second doubt that the CIA is involved in every possible creepy thing people ever get involved in... as interacting with bad people is pretty much the stock in trade of spooks the world over. Are they involved in the drug trade ? Yes. Without a doubt. Name any bad thing... and it is likely that every spook agency there is will be involved somehow... as you don't succeed in being a spook, at all, by working only with the good guys, while refusing to work with corrupt people, or the criminal elements that have already penetrated the target you intend to address ? Reasonable, too, to recognize that at some point the "benefit" of having bad actors on the payroll... becomes no benefit at all... as the corrupting influences being willingly embraced inevitably foster blindness and allow the corruption to creep upwards to infect everything... all allowed in the name of "national security". And, obviously, that's not just about the CIA... Same thing being joked about here on SI recently... re the FBI necessarily (and obviously) coordinating the "insurrection" on Jan 6, just as they did the equally laughable fake kidnapping attempt of Michigan Gov Whidmer, etc. The fakery is so fake, now, that only a total dupe would miss it... ? But, what else can you do when the "bad guys" who you've been instructed to make look like the enemy... are actually the good guys... compared to you... and all those similar idiots the government unleashes on society... ostensibly to keep us safe... from people exactly like them... when there really aren't any ? Government has no intrinsic self correcting mechanisms.... Those we have tried to impose... have been and are (always) being disabled... by those seeking power. That the theater staged to justify the usurpations... is inordinately BAD theater... should be no surprise ? So, government inevitably BECOMES the problem they started out intending to prevent... as it becomes a self corrupting mechanism instead of a self correcting mechanism... Suggests its time to revisit "what works" and what doesn't in REALITY versus theory ? Limited government is the only answer... but, the problem isn't that we don't know the answer ?

"Power" has almost zero to do with ideology... See, for instance, banker "suicide" Chicago style... Any difficulty understanding what that's about ? But, that's not close to the same thing as saying... ideology has nothing to do with power... or its abuse ? Carts, horse, time arrows, etc. "More government" is the answer... because of how well things are going now ? The worse things are... the worse you will make them... when you fail to understand ? Or, you need more criminals being recruited... to save you from the criminals you have now... ? The solution to too many criminals... naturally being more criminals... and fewer restraints on them ? Black Lives Matter... the obvious poster child of the inverse... ? You don't need "fewer" police... but "better policing"... that works to prevent crime and protect people ? When you are murdered... it doesn't matter much if the murderer was a cop... or some guy that a cop could have stopped from murdering you... only if there was a cop... who wasn't also a criminal ? Avoiding feedback loops in the lack of logic... an essential survival skill...
