My guess on who is paying. Since state Senate is doing it I would say state. But it could be state is mandating Maricopa county audit it's vote do Maricopa county is paying. Not sure which. Probably state.

It's being paid for by private donors......that's one of the deep states concerns - they will try to contest...who? I think the State approved minimal, something like 150K to the effort

Small donations and a Voter Integrity group, iirc. When talk of an audit first started, I sent in $50(?), and since then I've received solicitations for more $ weekly, and even appeals to volunteer as an auditor.
