My district isn't "pushing" it. My district isn't discussing it at all. What they are talking about is trying to freshen up the English cannon to include some diverse voices- so it's not all Dead White Men and to change up the history classes- just a little- to reflect what actually happened as opposed to what white people wish happened. I'm sure that's terrifying to old racists who would prefer to shuffle off to their graves in a country that better reflects the racism of their youths.
