In the Jan. 27 edition of Communications Daily, Joseph Zell, President of U S West Enterprise Networking Services, is quoted as saying that: "Only about 50%-75% of subscriber lines would be able to use ADSL technology because of condition of local networks or distance from central office." If the number is near the 50% level, I think that is good news for LMDS because it means that many customers may not have a choice between ADSL and LMDS -- it's LMDS or nothing!
