<<1am guessing that <<dry stone walls>> has at least one characteristic,

Is there a building issue you are looking into? I was referring to the walls made from stones strewn in a field by mother nature.

<<I get the feeling, even as it is none of my business>>

You are most welcome to say anything you feel pertinent. Really, I appreciate a candid remark ... usually -g-

Lets just say my apartment is basement level and leave it that for now -g-

I have been on a "zag" since about here.

Now, and I think it's partially thanks to you, I feel I am living in a Agatha Christi novel . I mean whoever heard of an American from New York called "Joe", living in a stunning country estate with a facination for ancient Neolithic burial mounds? Please someone wake me up -lol-

Being an ex London squatter, a technical anarchist, but somehow appointed as "group leader" , who had to compete with overt "bolshy" personalities like Piers Corbin (whom I never met ... or talked to btw).
I seemed to have picked up the "know how" to find my living space in a competitive environment. I do think Piers Corbin is OK though, minus the hard core commie component he once sported. Not sure if he is being sensible here.

And I do know about issues with older buildings, as that went with the territory occupied. I have also owned several homes since those crazy days in the 1970's.

Anyway, tomorrow looks like a good time to go "zig" though I think it's supposed to be strictly a random event. -g-

edit/ Ref cats and dogs etc. I know the stiatistics. Single people live longer with company. Beautiful cats btw. My daughters both have a cat. Brothers and sisters have pets too. Those are pets enough. All the rental property terms and conditions I have seen are "no pets, no smokers" and I have to be ready to up tent pegs and move if required.. Hopefully not, but I prefer to remain prepared. There is a bird of prey hovering about the front lawn since I moved in. I took a snap. and have named him "Frank". He is my pet for now, or maybe it's visa versa, he skidaddled soon as I took the picture from some distance away, I expect he will be back though.
